Skein (Linger 101A)  

Skein is a feminine ewe with an exquisite fleece: lustrous and fine. She is the perfect example for the Icelandic breed in her mothering instincts. She is a gentle and sensible flock matron, raising lambs of similar temperament. Kind Horn, True North and Frelsi lines.

Bára (Linger 201B)

Bára is a valued daughter of one of our Kind Horn Farm foundation ewes, Weslea, and is a full-bodied ewe with a long top line. She comes from the prolific Thokka line. As a yearling with a first lamb, Bára was already one of our milkiest ewes. She is a perfect mother and her lambs adore her into adulthood. She has an easy nature with her shepherds.

Lineage includes 52% AI: Grani, Munkur, Bambi, Stikill, Hjorr, Lurkur, Rektor, Arrodi, Noi.

Hlin (Linger 208C)

Hlin is a tribute to our foundation rams, Escher and Eirik, both from Kind Horn Farm in Vermont. She had very good growth and muscling in her first year and is the combination of solid stature and femininity we prize in a ewe.

A competent mother who gives us strikingly beautiful and conformationally sound lambs each year. Never a misstep! Her fleece is one of the best of the flock when in its full glory, lustrous and long…a grey version of her dam’s fleece (Skein). She took to the milking stand easily as a young mother and is such a valued member of our flock for every reason there is.

Gyda (Linger 272D)

Gyda's dam, Bobbin, was our all-time favorite ewe for every reason in the book. And Gyda follows her lead: muscular build, great mothering skills, lovely, profuse fleece, calm and easy personality. She has good dairy qualities with a well-attached udder and she is one of our largest-volume milkers.

She is passing her qualities to her offspring, producing prized lambs for us!

Tilli (Linger 258E)

This girl was sired by our black AI Myrkvi son, Rune. Tilli is a well-conformed ewe, both feminine and solid. She embodies all the Icelandic mothering qualities we look for. She also produces a stunning fleece, another grey version of her dam, Skein. She is giving us lambs with sound conformation and easy mindsets.

Tilli’s 67% AI background includes Myrkvi, Kveikur, Sokki, Blettur, Geisli, Ymir, Mango, Logi, Eldur, Udi, Munkur, Garpur, Laekur.

Magda (Linger 317G)

Daughter of our black legend, Bára, Magda has very good mothering skills.

Magda’s sire, Nordur, gives very good musculature and also great fleece characteristics to his lambs. Magda truly has it all…lovely fleece and sound conformation.

Birgitta (Linger 313G)

Birgitta has size, muscling and nice conformation all around. She also has the most lovely, sweet nature!

Sisu is a daughter of Eirik and is well-rounded in all the areas we look for, muscling, fleece, milkiness. She has birthed with ease and her lambs have shown very good growth in their first months.

Rya (Linger 342H)

Rya has very solid conformation and excellent muscling. Her dam, Mahalla, was large and hardy, a ewe with the rare Kunningi AI lineage. Rya’s sire, Tog, also offers a high AI percentage.

Mirrix (Linger 343H)

Daughter of Tilli and Eirik, Mirrix will be exciting to watch as her first lambing comes ‘round in 2022. Big, sturdy and beautiful with a lovely fleece, heavy with the. In personality, she is an alert and curious young ewe who loves interacting with the small creatures of our farm, kitties and chickens. Her first lambs have been exceptional in build and fleece.

Elska (TCE 328G)

She is a consistent ewe, producing sound and beautifully fleeced twins each year. She is a protective dam and milky, raising her charges well. Friendly disposition and tends to pass this to her lambs.

Åsa is an AI Prudur daughter, bred from a prolific TCE dam line. She is a lovely high percentage AI ewe with good muscling and a lovely fleece. Sensible and protective mother with abundant milk. Gorgeous white single ewe lamb this year with excellent conformation.

Kitta lambed for the first time in 2023, completely unassisted, and is has strong mothering skills for her single ram lamb. Her dam is Hlin and her sire, Tog.

She excels in muscled conformation, a long topline and profuse wool that is both silky and dense. Very pleased with this 2 yo!

Hlin always gives us top choice lambs and was paired with Tog for the most beautiful set of twin ewe lambs in 2022. Hurra, as a yearling now, is a very solidly-built girl with a super soft fleece. She has both profuse thel and a silky tog. Raising a handsome spotted black solid ram lamb as a one winter ewe.

Hvonn (Linger 383K)

Hvonn, 2022 twin ewe of Tog and Hlin, was an outlier in our flock for her remarkable fleece as a lamb, which reached 12”+ by her first fall at 6 months of age. She is sound, friendly and calm.
